Celebrate the End of the Ski and Board Season with Spring Bash + Splash

From March 30 to April 21, Winter Park resort will be celebrating the end of an awesome season on the mountain with the annual Spring Bash + Splash! Every weekend in April will feature special events, live music, and of course spring skiing to get just a few last runs down the slopes. Check out what’s in the books for each weekend:

Weekend 1: March 30 & 31

Spring Bash + Splash kicks off with TheBigWonderful Beerfest! This one is for the beer-lovers, with unlimited samples and a local vendor market, all set to live bluegrass music. Be sure to buy a ticket in advance! If you’re looking for a more family-friendly event, check out the Uphill Battle race at 7 am, where you can catch the sunrise as you snowshoe or skin up the mountain. This race has sold out in previous years, so be sure to register in advance to secure your spots!

Weekend 2: April 6 & 7

The first weekend of April is Beach Weekend at Winter Park! There will be games of spikeball in the snow, a luau with tropical drinks, and, of course, Jimmy Buffet covers. Come dressed in your warmest beachwear!

Weekend 3: April 13-14

The next theme at Spring Bash + Splash is Wild Wild West! That means cornhole, line dancing, and plenty of country tunes. Be sure to check out the synchronized snowboarding competition from noon to 3 pm, or try your luck (and balance!) on the mechanical bull.

Weekend 4: April 20-21

Finishing off with a bang, the last weekend of Spring Bash + Splash will be one to remember. Saturday April 20th is ‘80s Day, which will feature an arcade, aerobics workouts, and some great ‘80s tunes. There will also be a costume contest, so don’t put away those leg warmers and sweatbands away quite yet. On the last day of the festival, Sunday April 21st, catch the beloved tradition of Spring Splash! From noon to 3 pm, watch skiers and riders navigate obstacles down the Larry Sale Trail Race Course and skim across an icy pond to the finish line.

Celebrating the end of ski and board season is bittersweet, but we love that we can cheers to a great season with Spring Bash + Splash each year! Best Western Winter Park is conveniently located right in the hubbub of the Winter Park resort, so you can check out events all day long, all weekend long, and all month long (and maybe sneak in a nap in between).
