Winter Park Resort
Voted the #1 Ski Resort in North America by USA Today, the world-class Winter Park Resort is, not surprisingly, our town's largest attraction. Being nestled in a unique geographical position along the continental divide ensures that Winter Park has some of the most dependable snow conditions in the country, attracting discerning skiers and snowboarders from around the world. The resort features over 3,000 acres of ski terrain, 25 lifts (including a gondola installed in 2018), 5 terrain parks, and a charming village area with a vibrant mix of restaurants and shops. During the summer, enjoy the state’s longest alpine slide, gondola rides, miniature golf, a climbing wall plus a variety of other fun summer activities and attractions. Mountain Biking
Despite its name, Winter Park is one of Colorado's top destinations for summertime recreation. Once the warm weather hits, the mountain bikes get rolling as cyclists flock to Winter Park's scenic and diverse network of trails. Known as Mountain Bike Capital, USA and recent host to the 2019 USA Cycling National Championships, winter park is an ideal destination for both the novice and the seasoned pro, both of whom can find their niche among over 600 miles of trails. Other Winter Sports & Summer Activities
Grand County offers a wide variety of activities, regardless of the season. Choose from snowshoeing, snowmobiling, dog sled riding or ice skating in the winter, or pick from golfing at four 18-27 hole golf courses, fishing gold medal waters or hiking trails in the National Parks in the summer. If museums are your thing, stop by the Cozens Ranch House Museum, where Winter Park meets Fraser and learn about the pioneer times of the 1800s. Across from the museum you’ll find the Grand Park Community Recreation Center, which features a 20-foot loop slide, a hot tub, a lazy river, fitness room and more. whether your pleasure is active or passive, this is the place to find your passion!
