COLORADO THE TOP SKI RESORT IN NORTH AMERICA

There is so much to do in Winter Park during the winter months that it might be possible that you and yours will have to just keep coming back to enjoy all the incredible activities!  Winter Park is a family winter destination with so many things to do, it might be hard just to find the time to do everything on your bucket list.  Activities include choosing from the scenic gondola ride, snowshoe tours, tubing, and the amazing glow night ice skating.  Of course, we can't forget the day time skiing for everyone.  For people wanting to learn to ski, there is a ski and ride package from $169  as well as an upgraded Lift serving Vasquez Ridge!   A new lift has been built which goes all the way up to the ridge.  It contains a high-speed, six person chairlift called the WILD SPUR EXPRESS which has a 2,800 person per hour capacity and includes a new mid-point loading zone, allowing for quicker laps on the intermediate and advanced trails. Depending on snow conditions, it will open late November or December.

 A NEW ADDITION THIS YEAR IS THE SKI-and GO DINING WHICH ALLOWS NEW PLACES TO REFUEL, ON AND OFF THE MOUNTAIN!

Sundog Tap Room is a new community centre tap room and dining experience opening this winter in the heart of the village.  The main highlight,--a grand tap wall, (complete with over 30 taps) where you will be able to serve yourself and try local Colorado brews.  As well as brews, you will be able to get snacks around the mountain!  Four NEW-ON-MOUNTAIN POP-UP DINING SPOTS have been added which allows people to grab something quickly to fuel up and continue skiing the rest of the day on the slopes.  Some foods available will be grilled cheese, Philly Cheesesteaks, walking tacos and quesadillas!  These pop-ups should be on the top of the new WILD SPUR EXPRESS LIFT,  the bottom of the Olympic LIFT, the Mary Jane base area and another, just outside Lunch Rock at the top of the Super Gauge lift.  All of these new additions will just make your ski day even more enjoyable!

After skiing, eating, walking around Winter Park taking in the winter sights and sounds, but still feel the need for another adventure in the great winter wonderland, how about a dog sled ride?  All you have to do is book a guided, back-country dog sled ride through a private trail system of winter wonderland!  Relax in the sled as an experienced musher expertly guides the dogs down the trail which can vary from 2-5 miles long.  Regardless of which option you choose, the amazing sights along the way of 13,000-foot peaks, the Continental Divide and snowy fields and trails will take your breath away.  Each sled can carry 1-3 guests and vary between 30 mins, 1 hour or 90 minutes.  There are height and weight restrictions.  Reservations are required.  This amazing adventure will take your breath away as you glide along the snow, seeing moose along the trails, snowshoe hares, eagles and hawks.  A very tranquil and peaceful outing!
